Earth SMP S3 Preview

August 19, 2026

Every so often, someone asks us: “When are you going to host another server like Season 1?”

Looking back at Season 1, anyone who was there probably remembers how organically chaotic things got: It started out as a completely peaceful survival server. Then friends started grouping up into camps. Someone stole gear from a rival team’s chests, PvP got turned on, and revenge missions immediately followed. Small factions quickly grew into full-blown nations, border disputes erupted, alliances were forged, and before we knew it, an all-out global war broke out across the map. In just two weeks, the server was bustling and we hit our milestone of over 20+ players online simultaneously.

That unscripted, player-driven drama where alliances and rivalries emerge purely on their own—that’s what made SMP so memorable.

That’s why maoclub and sbsleepytom are coming together to take that emergent world-building to the next level with our new 1-month seasonal event: Earth SMP Season 3.

Why We Chose Physical Gold and Real Physical Travel

Within our 3000×3000 finite world, we implemented several deliberate constraints to give interactions real weight:

1. Gold Must Be Mined by Hand We disabled gold drops from mobs and Piglins entirely. Every single gold ingot circulating in the economy represents someone actually exploring caves and swinging an iron pickaxe. When a town bank holds a reserve of gold, it reflects real collective labor—not automated inflation.

2. No Teleport Commands: Roads Must Be Built There is no fast-travel teleportation between towns. If you want to visit a trade market, negotiate with a neighbor, or march on an outpost, you must ride a horse, sail a boat, lay down rail lines, or team up to pave national highways. When geography matters, border checkpoints and road intersections become vibrant hubs of life.

3. Weekly Democratic Elections We don’t appoint permanent leaders. Every 7 days, every settlement enters a mayoral election cycle. If you disagree with how taxes are managed or how land is zoned, you can form a political party, write a campaign manifesto, and rally your fellow citizens to vote for change.

“Where I Stand, That Is the Rule”

We often write the slogan: “Where I stand, that is the rule.”

It doesn’t mean tyranny; it means freedom and responsibility. In this world, no admin is scripting a storyline or holding your hand.

Will you be an industrious miner, a wandering merchant, a nation builder, or a contract bounty hunter? Will neighboring towns forge trade pacts or ignite frontier rivalries over mineral veins?

Honestly, you won’t know until you experience it yourself.

We Can’t Wait to See You in Season 3

Our 1-month seasonal journey is about to begin. Whether you’re a Season 1 veteran or joining our community for the first time, we warmly invite you to take part.

Bring your friends, forge new alliances along the road, and let’s craft a living history together.
